WIP Wednesday - It's Not a Race

I've been pushing pretty hard for the last few weeks (months?) and last week was nearing the burnout point, so I took it slower and tried to not pressure myself as much.  It's so easy to get caught up in the need to get stuff finished that you lose the joy of the making!

Masks for days...

On top of the rush to finish everything, the smaller items were getting pushed off and I wasn't keeping track of all the deadlines I set for myself.  Yes, the embroidered stuff is pretty fast to make, but there is prep work, and finishing, and most of the time I don't seem to take that into account when I give customers an estimated shipping range.  Sometimes just finding where I stashed the supplies in my collection can take an hour!  Probably a sign I need to create an inventory tracking system, or start labeling everything...but that would take me about 2 months to set up ;) So far this week is definitely going better, other than allergies due to the bipolar weather (we had to run the heater after having the a/c on last week)

I decided to escape the sewing room and spend a few nights stuffing and sewing all these...

I'm at least in a better state of mind this week, not so stressed or annoyed by everything! Now back to the list and projects...still no idea when/if the craft shows will be this year, but I might want to start working on things like hooded towels eventually.  I picked up a LOT of towels last year after my shows because they sold pretty well...and now I have enough towels to last a lifetime if I don't start sewing them up.

• The Child giant version - only needs his clothes!
• The Child mini version - yes, I started another one, but the big one was TOO big to take with me! and the first attempt I must have been really tired because the legs and arms were totally different sizes. Second attempt is coming together better...
• Cotton face scrub pads - I will try to get back to these, still have all the supplies!
• baby blanket with Boho style Racoon- 90% done with applique pieces -  need to finally put this together, maybe I'll just put it in a frame!
• Dragon scarf - worked on it a bit, need to finish it up!
• Cotton coffee cup cozies - add buttons and felties, keep making more...
• WeeBee baby doll  - Just needs some face details, and maybe a swimsuit to wear when she's not in her tail...bikini sort of works...made up my own pattern and it's interesting...
• Chunky Unicorn Blanket - almost finished up to the hood, then just ears, horn, and fringe! - This got stashed somewhere, so I need to remember where the 'safe place' is.
• C2C (corner to corner) baby doll blanket crochet with some random scarfie yarn - Need to figure out what hook I was using...
• Mermaid tail towel, need to dig this back out.
•  C2C blanket for my son, already the right width and height, finally on the end stretch!

Fast finishes (hopefully)

• Crayon Rolls - 36 left to sew!
• Embroidered Fox pillow cover - just needs the back cut and sewn! - Need to figure out where it got stashed
• Mermaid morning glory pouch (half cut out! just for fun project so no rush)

• Downsized Denver backpack - mostly cut out, just need to figure out the straps, but may go with connectors for now to try it out
• Doctor Who Pick a Pocket - Now that I've made several of these, I should be able to finish this one quickly, if I ever pull it out
