It's been quite a while since the last time I made a
Bonnie Bucket Bag by Swoon (affiliate link), but it's a classic style that comes together pretty quickly!
I solemnly swear I'm up to no good, but everyone already knew that...
For this one, we didn't want to hide any of the awesome map print fabric, so I left off the overlays.
Bottom shot, should have pushed it out a little more, but when it's filled it will be fine |
This is probably the first one I've done with the recommended strap length. Usually I add on a cross body strap.
It seems short, but the strap puts it under the arm perfectly |
The ring connectors are a fun accent |
Of course I had to use some of the awesome zipper tape and pulls from
Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts! The flier was perfect!
sorry, I didn't realize it was blurry until the bag was already off to a new home! |
The rainbow zipper tape added a fun splash of color! |
The exterior fabric came from
Affordable Fabrics and More, and is the blue version.
The lining is a fun licensed print I found at Joann's and quickly bought the entire bolt.
Inside slip pockets |
Since we really wanted to show off the fabric, I didn't bother cutting separate panels, just made the outside 2 pieces. I like to use foam for the bag to give it more structure and a little padding to protect whatever you throw inside!
The handle stood up by magic, pretty sure. |
I stocked up on this fabric, but I'm slowly sewing through my stash. Good thing I grabbed a little extra the last time I saw it up for retail!
