There have been a lot of similar shaped patterns lately, but I always love making a bag from ChrisW Designs because I feel like she really steps you through everything and the instructions are amazing! She also has a video, if you like watching to see how someone makes the bag. The Daily Drift Crossbody is a cute mid sized bag, with some great pockets and the lining is a PERFECT fit! No saggy lining or 'extra' in there, it looks so sharp!

Trying some different photo locations, the new couch is nice and neutral, but not perfect lighting....

I try to use a light colored lining to make it easier to see things

The Millennium Falcon is such a fun zipper pull!
I paired it with a fun print from Joann's (I have an extensive stockpile), and dug into my stash for some hardware that perfectly matched! I have no idea where the different pulls came from, there was a time when I was shopping 5 or 6 different stores, plus destashes to find the awesome stuff. Most of them seem to have closed down now, but I have a stockpile of them I'm slowly working through!

Pretty much similar pic as above, but different angle!
The Daily Drift has a front angled pocket, and a hidden back angled pocket. If your materials have a definite angle to them like mine did, make sure you cut so that angle matches! I didn't even think about it at first, but I only had enough vinyl left to recut the front piece to line it up. I figure the back is fine...it's going to be against your body so hardly anyone will really see it. ;)

Back hidden pocket. Next time I'll match the angle , or at least try to line up the pieces slightly better
Inside, the purse has a single zipper pocket, which may not be the 'pocket-ful' style that some of Christine's purses have, but that is kind of perfect for this bag, too many inside pockets would just get caught on things you are trying to put inside.

R2 zipper is in the shadows, but it actually has some great detail!
The strap is a fun mix of vinyl and fabric, but more of a shoulder strap than a cross body. Since vinyl rolls are usually limited height, if you want to cut it in one piece, that's the price you pay.

Make sure you cut the strap first, to get it the full length of the roll

Fabric underneath helps keep the bulk down for sewing!
I love this purse, but it's a little too small for my needs (I need everything, plus the kitchen sink. And a book or tablet) so it is looking for a good home! Be sure to check out the Daily Drift pattern, or contact me if you'd like a custom made one for yourself!

Beautiful work
