Floral Harriet (Swoon)

Not every purse I make is done with characters or inspired fabric, some are just pretty! This is one of my favorite pretty custom fabrics from Blended Threads, and the Harriet from Swoon was so perfect to show off the bold design! I modified the bag by leaving off the little flap closure and using rivet magnetic snaps -- I didn't want to hide any of the gorgeous print!

That's a real backdrop, not AI!

I love how this fabric has a kind of linen printed texture, with the pop of color from the flower. I even played with some of my camera settings, trying to get some interesting pics.

Blurry background and color pop

Only the flower is colored, it's not a super bright print, but so pretty!

The best feature of this bag is the side zippers. They are totally functional, so you can zip them up for a smaller bag, or unzip for a little extra room! I used some gunmetal rose zipper pulls and matching zipper tape from Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts to coordinate with the print. All the hardware was gunmetal, which really added a touch of class!

Apparently I didn't get a fully zipped up side view, oops!
The inside of this purse is very simple, just a single zipper pocket. I used a shimmery grey fairy fabric for the lining on this one. It's different enough to be interesting, but not so wild that it distracts from the outside.
Opened up, with the magnet and peeking in
Nice and deep!

I really love how this order turned out, even though I'm more of a "tons of pockets and bright and colorful" person, I could see myself carrying it!

Sneak peek of the next purse I'll be sharing!
