Perfect Pattern Parcel #7 - Handbags Galore!

I was recently able to join a great group of bloggers in promoting indie pattern makers AND helping a charity for classrooms - Donorschoose.org.  I scoured my friends to find someone that needed a new bag.  (Ok, I asked one and she jumped on it, sorry guys, you'll have a chance for a purse soon!)  She was torn between the Midtown Messenger and the Betty Bowler, but eventually settled on the Messenger.  Of course I then took on several other projects and craft fairs, but I'm almost done on time!  Burning the wee hours of the night led to a big mistake last night (does the flap REALLY need to be attached?) so here's a sneak peak of the nearly completed bag!

(Almost done!  Front of the bag)
I promise I'll have better pictures up in a day or two, along with the modifications I made, like only one latch because the other one was bent and missing a piece and I didn't realize until 10pm last night...

Check out the patterns you can get for a donation, and if you donate over $32, you can even get a bonus pattern!  These patterns all looked so fun that I have already started picking out fabrics that would would be perfect for each from my stash!

How Pattern Parcel Works:
Here at Perfect Pattern Parcel, we believe in supporting independent pattern designers. It’s our opinion that indie patterns are just, well, better than big box patterns, and we’re pretty sure our customers think so too. So, we allow customers to show their support in naming their own price
for each Parcel.  We also encourage customers to allocate part of their Parcel price to the charity Donorschoose.org in order to help classrooms in need. Pattern Parcel donates all profits after expenses from Parcel sales to the charity as well. Its our goal to raise over $20,000 for Donors Choose this year.

    1. I was soooo close to finishing, but I just had to stop because it wasn't working! I broke my 'no sewing after 11 pm rule' and I paid for it LOL!
