WIP Wednesday - It's Still Craft Fair Season??

Silly me, I thought once we made it past the middle of December, it would be time for a nice long break!  The good news is that the craft fairs now can still sell crochet and knitted stuff since we will probably have on and off cold weather here until almost May! The one show we tried in the summer was a bust because there's not much call for warm stuff then, and even though we had tons of other things, people have lots of other things to do during the summer instead of going to craft shows!  Now maybe if we were at a farmer's market...

Tula Pink FreeFall makes me happy every time I see it!
I've been working on adding stock to Etsy, little by little, and trying to get more things ready to go so that when we do have a sale, I don't have to rush home, stitch it out on the embroidery machine, put it together, and run it over to my partner's place late at night so she can mail it out...She's the shipping guru, and much better at packaging than I am, so I am glad to hand it off!

Apple Jack and Sunset Shimmer inspired ears, now available on Etsy!
Some of the latest orders have been for things like My Little Pony inspired ears...which forced me to finally stitch out a few sets!  I might add on a unicorn horn soon, when I have time...

WIP:

Sewing:

Crayon Rolls - Jumped up in priority this week when I realized we had NONE left on etsy!
Pattern Testing - Fabric is picked out, now I'm waiting for one supply to show up, or I might have to fake it and hope I can make it work!  I'm shopping my stash and found this fabric that somehow matches almost perfectly.
The green is fairy frost, so it has a shimmer that is hard to capture on the camera!

Flannel Eater blanket - Lines are sewn!  I'm going to pre-wash it to try to get the wonky shrinking out of the way before I square it up...since I didn't take the time to pre-wash before I started.  Then I just have to cut all those lines...and bind it...
I used a variegated brown and tan cotton thread, matches the embroidery!

Sedimental Quilt- all quilted, just needs squared up and binding!

Finish the Owl Epiphany purse - it just needs top-stitching and the handles attached!

Crochet:

Need to weave in ends and add buttons to the Peaked Cap that ended up much too small for me (I did adult sized and it fits my 6 year old nicely).  And I have 2 more hats that need the ends woven in, plus buttons on some cowls.  My plan to get a hat or cowl a day finished has slowed down with this cold that is kicking my behind.
Hat waiting for a pompom!

Started a mermaid lovey since I finished my hat...which I was told I'm not cool enough to wear.  Thanks guys.
The hat I'm not cool enough to wear.  Psh.

NIL (Next in Line)

Tulip pouches (from this free pattern!!)

I love this octopus fabric!  Late night pic, sorry!
January Bag of the Month (Backgammon Bag) - Either in some Effervescence fabric or maybe the Zelda stained glass fabric
Princess Lovey - she just needs hair and her head attached!
Cowl (1 a month goal!)
Rosie Concealed Carry Purse in another Harry Potter Fabric - Waiting for the Spoonflower fabric to get printed and shipped!  Maybe I'll make a test one in the meantime...

  1. I am starting a regular booth at a local flea market next month and being that I live in Florida where it's pretty much warm year round, I have been having to do a lot of thinking outside of the box for prepping. I have stocked up on things like hair bows, mug cozies, coasters, table settings, baby blankets and hats, jewelry... Quick, easy and fun little things that I think are great year round. Best of luck to you! Love the new little items in your shop.

    1. That sounds like an exciting adventure! Little things are great for impulse buyers, but you might even try a few bigger things, just because you never know! Year round stuff is so hard, especially for yarn related stuff! You might even try barefoot sandals, which would be cute walking along the beach. Good luck to you as well!
