The latest pattern from The Styled Magnolia is the adorable Aurora Sling! It comes in 2 sizes and is a fun and fast pattern! I picked the smaller size, which doesn't have outside pockets, but that works great because I didn't want to hide any of the Oh So Pretty vinyl!

| The print on this vinyl is so delicate looking! |
 |
| I'm pretty sure the tag is actually centered to the bag, I cut the back piece slightly crooked |
The inside of this bag is simple -- just one slip pocket. The lining is finished on one side with binding, which is not my favorite way to finish, but it does give it nice structure. If I want it to look really nice, I have to hand sew binding, but I went for speed and just used my machine. It didn't help that I also used some leftover pre-made binding instead of trying to make some that would blend more. My lining fabric was from my scrap pile and I only had a little bit left.

| I really miss Joann's! This was a random pretty fabric I bought long ago |
 |
| My binding always gets a twist in it, no matter how careful I sew! |
There are 2 options for the strap, either a detachable version with snap hooks and D rings, or one that is sewn on, with a buckle that can be opened to secure it around something pretty easily. I grabbed a variety pack of the plastic buckles from Sewful Therapy to try out, and the turquoise one PERFECTLY matched the vinyl and my lining!
 |
| I love the pop of color from the buckle! |
The zipper on this one is the Daydream lilac from Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts, which is a perfect match to their lilac seatbelt webbing, and rainbow mermaid tail zipper pulls were the cherry on top for this adorable bag!
 |
| Rainbow mermaid tails are EPIC! |
I think I need to make a few more of this little sling, it would be perfect for events with small bag size limits, and I might even be able to make it with a clear vinyl!
