Sometimes I see a 'looking for testers' post on Face Book and I jump on it! This time I got to test the adorable Classy Pincushion from Sewn Ideas.

Props for size reference (does it help?) |
It's a big pin cushion, much larger than I expected, almost big enough you could modify it to be a fun zipper pouch! I think it took me longer to pick fabric than to actually make it...it was super fast! I left off the accent piece, but even adding that on wouldn't take long at all.

Back, shows off the fun fabric more! |
I love this pretty mice fabric, and they are sewing, so it's perfect! (It came from JR Designs, a group that isn't really active anymore, so I should hoard the rest of the fabric probably) Throw in some of the fun sewing fabric from Tula Pink, a custom girl mouse on a spool of thread zipper pull from Level Up Hardware, and gorgeous iridescent Day Dream zipper tape from Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts, and you have a fancy pincushion!

The colors on the Tula Pink fabric were so perfect! |

Just the pincushion! |
I can't wait to see the next 2 patterns in the set!
Very cute! The mouse fabric reminds me of Cinderella, if I'm thinking right. The mice helped her make her dress pretty for the Ball. The pattern looks lovely, but I don't know if I will attempt it.
ReplyDeleteIt is the Cinderella mice! The pattern is surprisingly easy, and it's a skill builder one, so there is even a video to go along with it! There's no lining inside since it's filled with stuffing, so that speeds it up!
