I was super lucky to be picked to test out this new bag from RLR Creations, The Nova Sling Bag is a pretty amazing bag -- it converts from a shoulder bag to sling bag, to a backpack!

This is not a super quick bag, there are a LOT of pieces to it and a bunch of hardware, but it's worth it for the finished look. This one takes SEVEN zippers. There are zippers on all 4 sides, one on the top of the main compartment, one for a zipper pocket inside, and one on the strap to make it convert between a backpack and sling bag.

I really love the Night Mare zipper tape from
Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts, it goes perfectly with both rainbow hardware and silver! I mixed and matched the finishes, and used my stash of the punch out castles (and castle zipper) - also from WS&C! I even used the Dementor's Kiss Sewing string for the outside, the variegated black and grey was perfect to both blend in, and unexpectedly pop out!

This is a roomy bag, with a big center (main) compartment. All the pockets on the outside mean that I really don't miss a ton of dividers on the inside. I could probably add in a slip pocket, but the way this one is constructed it's more likely that the stuff would tip out unless I made it really deep. The bag is a super slouchy style, which helps it convert to all the different carrying ways!

The lining of the pockets and the main compartment were made with a fun licensed princess print, light enough to help find stuff, but still pretty!

I used a little of my glitter vinyl from
Backstitch Prints to give it a little extra bling and a wipeable bottom (in case I accidentally set it in something...). The teal was a perfect match for this fun Silhouettes print from

This bag is now MINE, but I can make others! I could probably even duplicate it (without the minor mistakes this one has) if some really loved it...or make it even better!
