The best thing about custom fabric is the unique styles that come out of the fan art! This Mid Century Modern style fabric from KNITorious Fabrics is so fun and pretty! I used it to make the large Book Sleeve from Sewn Ideas.
| Even has a Grogu zipper pull! |
| Standing up |
This is a fast and fun pattern, and looks really nice when it's finished. There is a front slip pocket, which also has a zipper pocket on it.
| The slip pocket isn't very obvious unless you view it from this angle |
The top closes with a snap. For this one, I used a Grogu embossed one, which is just cute!
| Adorable snap! |
| Hidden Leia! |
The back is a plain piece, but perfect for really showing off a fabric! Inside I used a glitter printed fabric that coordinated perfectly. It's printed, so no actual glitter to rub off or scratch things up!
| Almost looks like a galaxy! |
| Sort of pin up style...with R2! |
This order also had notebook covers. I used the vinyl background only version of this design (without the pin-up girls), to make a legal notebook holder (
Moondance from Sincerly Jen in larger size), jr legal notebook holder (Moondance in regular size) and a composition book cover (my own pattern).
| I include the notebooks, and I have a stockpile of each size I need to use up! |
| 3 sizes, which would you use more? |
| Legal size vs Jr. Legal, with a shimmery lining |
I somehow had scraps left over of the vinyl, so I was able to squeeze in an inhaler case and a hand sanitizer holder!
| I need to make more inhaler holders, they go through phases of popularity |
| Backs, you can see the pocket areas |
Making an order with a ton of pieces is pretty fun, especially when it is done!
