Zentangle Minifacto (Chris W Designs)

Sometimes I run across a fabric that I fall in love with and can't resist. This one is NOT my usual style/colors but it's so fun that I bought an entire bolt! Now I need to find more projects to make with the fun fabric...but for now, this Minifacto from ChrisW Designs looks amazing in it!

I am still trying to find a good place to get daylight pics!

Back, look at all those colors!
Front, but at an angle!
I paired it with a black vinyl to allow it to really pop, plus the vinyl base gives it a little more durability.

Side view, has a little bit of room without being a huge bag
I really like adding in solid accents, I saw somewhere that it gives your eyes a 'place to rest' when the pattern is really busy. I think the solid just helps to define the shapes and features, like the black around the front pocket makes it more interesting. If the purse were ALL the colorful fabric, it would just look like a plain rectangle without any amazing features.

A look 'under the flap'

I did the back in almost all the colorful fabric, so if you really liked that fabric, it would be easy to wear that side facing out.

That fabric is kind of mesmerizing...
The back has a 'hidden' zipper pocket, plus the top phone pocket.

Night Mare Zipper tape from Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts was so perfect!

Half of the pocket is the outside fabric...that might be on me and not the pattern...

Phone/key quick access pocket
Inside is a pretty solid turquoise fabric, hopefully that makes it a little easier to find stuff inside since this is a pretty roomy purse!
Inside zipper pocket

I did add in some of the exterior fabric on the inside slip pockets, just to make it a little fancy inside

Slip pockets
The zipper closure for the top is recessed, which means that it's a little easier to topstitch! I used a 'simple' zipper pull for this one, nice and easy to grip! See, I can do things that aren't fandom!

Simple black strap is adjustable
Just another picture of the pretty fabric, so much detail and color!
