I had SO MUCH to do over the weekend, so that meant that I should obviously add something else to the list, like a new puppy!
Marshmallow Teddy has a huge grin! |
Sometimes simple is all you need, and the Rainbow Phone Pouch is a perfect example! A bright Robin Hood fabric from Ohana Fabrics really makes it fun!
Fortunately the fabric is small scale, so all the images ended up on the bag! |
I'm working with a few people on different items, but so far the majority of my 'to do' list are the Necessary Clutch Wallets. I'm so glad I had a friend with a laser cut acrylic templates for me, it makes it super fast to cut all the pieces! Now if my sewing machine would stop giving me grief as it sews through 12+ layers of fabric and interfacing, plus the Decovil Heavy layer...
I should have stockpiled more of this fabric, it's so pretty! |
Sometimes a 'simple' project that I've made a thousand times (ok, maybe just a few hundred) will suddenly decide to fight me. I spent three nights fighting with my sewing machine because even microtex needles didn't want to sew through all the layers of the Necessary Clutch Wallet! No actual breaks, but the needles kept bending...which is just annoying because most of the time I can sew the pieces together in 20 minutes (or less) with no issue, and then there are times it takes me 3 days to finish the same thing because I have to rip out the bad stitches, replace needles, oil the machine, curse, take a break...or a nap.

It has been a while since ChrisW Designs has released a new pattern, but she hit it out of the park with this one! The Morphing Convertible Backpack comes in 2 sizes and it so perfect for showing off all my custom panels that I've been collecting! I did the large size and used a child sized panel, but I think most of my adult panels would fit nicely as well! The small size also works great for the smaller panels, so I'm hoping to squeeze in one in that size soon!
I decided to go Snow White themed so I wouldn't be tempted to keep it, she's not one of my top 5 princesses... |
New Year, pretty much the same list...except I started taking in new orders again (finally!) and the list will be growing again. I would love for this year to be the one where I make a serious dent in my fabric collection and get my craft studio under control...but given my love of fabric and limited crafting time, I seriously doubt that will happen unless I get motivated to destash.
I have some pretty awesome vinyls in my collection |
