It has been a while since ChrisW Designs has released a new pattern, but she hit it out of the park with this one! The Morphing Convertible Backpack comes in 2 sizes and it so perfect for showing off all my custom panels that I've been collecting! I did the large size and used a child sized panel, but I think most of my adult panels would fit nicely as well! The small size also works great for the smaller panels, so I'm hoping to squeeze in one in that size soon!

I decided to go Snow White themed so I wouldn't be tempted to keep it, she's not one of my top 5 princesses... |
But then I used the sketchy fabric which IS one of my top 5 fabrics... |
This is a clean design that really lets you show off your materials, and could easily be used by anyone! I dug into my stash and found some of my treasured Sketchy fabric from Backstitch, which made it a super colorful bag! The bag has 2 handles for easy pickup, plus the strap converts between backpack, crossbody, and shoulder strap length by adjusting the sliders and where you grab it.

Even though this bag looks pretty sleek, it still has good pockets and the awesome phone pocket that ChrisW includes in her bags. The outside of the bag has a front zipper pocket that is huge!
Gus offered to help model the features |
The pocket is about the size of the entire front, so VERY roomy! |
The back has the phone pocket that is deep enough for a lot more than a phone...
I used the extra parts of the front panel to make the pocket |
He's peeking out, there is definitely enough room for him to hide in there! |
Inside has a zipper pocket and lots of space! You can add in the pocket supplement A (she includes the measurements for placement) or a simple slip pocket, but even without them, still a great bag! I had some licensed Snow White fabric in my collection that worked great for the lining. (I buy 1 yard pieces of pretty fabric I run across, for projects just like this! Totally not addicted to buying fabric.)

This shot makes it look HUGE, which it kind of is... |
The pattern uses only a few pieces of hardware, but those pieces work to make the backpack convert quickly from a backpack to a cross body bag.
Manuela the Mannequin is such a great model |
Pull up on the middle of the backpack strap, instant cross body or shoulder strap! |

I used the buckle D rings, seat belt webbing, and the amazing Unicorn Mane Sewing string from
Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts. I found the zipper tape and pulls in my collection, but I can't remember where they originally came from. The seven dwarves on the zipper pull is really fun tho!
I love the buckle D rings, they don't twist around like every other D ring I've used... |
The outside has double zipper pulls so you can unzip/zip easily |
I love the Unicorn Mane on my tags! |
All 7 dwarves on one zipper pull! |
Be sure to grab your
pattern and give this fun bag a spin!

One last front shot |

And the back, can really see the grab handle! |
