Really, these wallets deserve their own posts, but there's only so many pictures you can take of a wallet! The latest patterns from ChrisW Designs are 3 sizes of
Slip and Zip wallets, and while they share the same name, they are not just scaled versions of the same wallet! Each one has unique features, and they all come together pretty fast. You can now buy them separate, to get just the size you want!
All 3 together, to get an idea of size |
The patterns include the SVG files...which I'm still not set up to use. The good news is that careful cutting works FINE. There's also videos to walk you through the assembly, and the patterns themselves have lots of pictures and details!

I feel like he was a reluctant model |
This is a cute little wallet that could fit in a back pocket and has only slip pockets on the inside - 1 ID pocket, 6 card slots, and 2 deeper slip pockets for folded money. The debossed vinyl from
Extra Magical Designs was a scrap I had, and I was able to cut the entire thing from it!
Oh look, the inside. |
Don't look too closely, I managed to cut some of the card slots the wrong way so they are upside down. |
The outside has a snap closure, and a cute little zipper pocket! I found a color matching snap in my stash, and a zipper that coordinated from my early zipper stockpile days. I prefer to use my pretty/fun custom zippers and pulls, but I didn't have any of the smaller ones that would match this wallet.
I love this vinyl, looks like leather and feels amazing! |
The best match I could find, a nice olive green zipper |
My pink tag came in handy! |
The other side |
Do you need MORE pockets? this is the one for you! Still a bi-fold wallet, this one is longer and probably won't fit in a back pocket, but it does have 9 card slots and an ID pocket inside. The vinyl I used is a gorgeous flower one from
Knitorious, just pretty and not a fandom! Unfortunately the vinyl really blends together in the photos, but trust me, there are a ton of pockets!
You can kind of see the pockets, if you look for the flowers that don't match |
Is this better? Not really... |
I put cards in all the slots...and they still pretty much blend in, so I gave up |
The outside has a bigger slip pocket and larger zipper pocket. I was able to use my fancy zipper on this one since it calls for the #5 zippers! I used a rose pull and zipper tape from
Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts.

All opened up |
I also decided to try coating the edges on this one, so I first used a Sharpie Creative marker, which was almost like a paint pen, and then I did a topcoat of my iridescent glaze. I'm still working on my edgecoat skills, so they aren't perfect, but I kind of like how it ended up!
Could use a few more coats, probably |
I didn't plan my snap placement quite right, but I did have matching snaps! |
This version has a flap to keep it all closed, and so many more pockets!!
Inside flap is perfect to feature more of the fun vinyl |
Everything in on the inside of this wallet, so it's almost like a mini clutch! An ID pocket, 12 card slots, 4 slip pockets, and the middle divider is open at the bottom, so it fits some pretty big phones!

Another view of the pockets |
I used a fun Jurassic Park inspired vinyl, from Ohana fabrics (on a break but some of her designs were picked up by another group), and a glittery green vinyl from
My Punkbroidery.
Malcolm! |
Of course I had to put them together! |
Big wallet means the bigger tags, and it looks pretty nice on the glitter vinyl!
The zipper pocket has an awesome jeep pull...I'm not even sure where I got it, but I only have one so it must have been a mystery pack!
Kind of hard to see, but it's cute! |
Which size will you pick? You can get them all as a
bundle, if you can't decide!
