The
Tea Diamond bag panels from
Knitorious Fabric are so fun and a great way to build your stash. This time I decided to make it into an actual circle bag (versus the
Celine tote I made with the X-files circles), and I had to use some of my math skills! I had several examples of styles I could follow for circle style bags, but none were the RIGHT size for my panels! I think it worked out pretty well, given my late night geometry, and my refusal to do binding inside! Maybe someday I'll do another one and actually do a tutorial on how I made it.

| The other side lets everyone know who spilled the tea! |
I decided to make it a super thick little bag since it wouldn't have a lot of pockets, and needed to add in a little extra fabric to make it work. A gorgeous glitter vinyl from Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts gave it a nice bit of glitz, plus a shiny gold bee zipper pull and matching gold hardware to make it even more elegant. I even did a little free hand quilting to make sure the foam didn't detach, and to pop out the fun details! It's not super obvious, but I think it gives it a nice accent in person.

| Gold bee zipper pull was PERFECT! |
There wasn't enough fabric for a strap, so I used the glitter vinyl and
some of the scraps to make a grab handle. It almost reminds me of a hat
box! The vinyl is super thick, so I didn't do any interfacing on it, and held my breath sewing it with the usual machine, instead of the monster machine.
 |
| Had to put the tag close to the edge, didn't want to cover the bee! |
The panel includes lining fabric, but it was almost too pretty to hide inside! Since I made it such a thick bag, I had to add in a little extra fairy floss for my zipper gusset. I was able to cut a small slip pocket to add in, so at least the bag has a little organization!

If you can't tell, the lining is the Queen with her Corgis!
 |
| Look, no binding! although that might have made the lining fit in slightly better... |
 |
| Surprisingly roomy for a little circle bag! |
Be sure to check out the other amazing prints running in the
Bookish round, you do NOT want the season to pass you by!
 |
| I added on the little rings, either to hold while zipping or to attach a strap, would be amazing with a gold chain, but I don't have any! |

| The WIP of the quilting I added in, just for fun! |
