Not everything I make is character inspired, sometimes I get requests for pretty fabrics! I fell in love with the Geos from Blended Thread Fabrics, and on this Minifacto from ChrisW designs, they look AMAZING!

I took a 'mini' vacation for the last 2 weeks, with minimal sewing and gave myself permission to relax and enjoy having family visiting. Now it's time to get back to the list! I did squeeze in a few little things here and there (can't totally stop crafting and sewing it seems!), but now I need to finish up some orders so I can take in new ones!
This purse has a LOT of structure. |
Every so often I get to sneak in a fun sew for myself, like this Sadie purse from Swoon using fabric from my all time favorite movie! I grew up watching Princess Bride whenever I could, and I can probably quote the entire move (ok, not 'probably', I CAN.)
Wesley/Dread Pirate Roberts is front and center! |
Since July is my birthday month, I decided it's a great time to squeeze in some fun sewing! I am mostly on schedule for orders, so taking a day or 3 to finish up some of the projects that I've had patiently waiting for me to finish is a great idea. Right now there is a challenge over in the ChrisW Designs FB group to sew up a UFO, pattern you bought and never made, or some fabric that has been collected. It does need to use a ChrisW pattern, but she has so many awesome patterns, for all skill levels, so it's a fun challenge for everyone to join! I'll be working on finishing up this Bella II that I started many years ago... and then if I have time, the Factotum that was started ONLY 3 (or 4?) years ago. I'm working at home now, so I don't need an amazing work tote, so if I ever finish it, I'll be listing it up on Etsy.
This WILL be the year I finally finish the purse! |
Cute Bow bag and embroidered tote bag from the weekend! |
The H2O To Go bag is quickly becoming a favorite! This fun Animal Crossing fabric from Backstitch was perfect to feature on the zipper pocket, both inside and out!
I love using webbing for straps, so much faster than all the cutting and ironing! |
