Villainous Coffee Quinn Wallet - RLR Pattern Testing

It seems like wallets are the popular patterns coming out right now, and I got the chance to test another new pattern, the Quinn Wallet from RLR Patterns

The only orchids blooming right now, my Lego ones.
This wallet uses fabric (which I have an excessive amount of in my stash), so I went with a super fun villain and Frappuccino inspired mash up. I had to dig to find something to coordinate, but fortunately this pattern doesn't require a lot of fabric and I found a shimmery pink in the scrap pile that had just enough left! I can't remember where I got the main fabric from, I'm guessing it was a group that has since closed, but it was perfect scale for this wallet!

Fake hand for scale, and for fun!
The Quinn is a clutch sized wallet, and even has a detachable wrist strap. I used my buckle D ring from Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts for the connector, it's my go-to for D rings that don't twist around! I also used the Celebration String (also from Wizardry, Stitchery, and Crafts) because the variegated colors were perfect to coordinate with the fabric!

The outside of the wallet has a zipper pocket and a roomy phone pocket that is secured with a snap. I accidentally sewed my snap on flipped, so I had to do some creative fixing to make it work since I didn't realize right away... Now my tab is a little shorter, or 'more secure' as my teenager pointed out. ;) The pocket has elastic sides, so you can fit really big phones in there! I was able to fit my Galaxy S22 Ultra with a Pop-socket! The pattern calls for a #3 zipper, so I didn't use one of my fancy ones, but maybe next time!

Don't look too closely at my topstitching, especially on the white elastic!

My 'short' zipper tab, but at least I got Ursula on it!

Inside, there are a bunch of card slots (10), plus slip pockets behind the card slots. There is one GIANT pocket behind everything that you could even divide up if you wanted. For a wallet, that is a lot of pockets!

So many pockets!

Lots of space...for activities! Or maybe just money.
I really love this fabric, so I'm including some extra shots of it, just because it's so pretty!
Front, my new tag color actually matches pretty nicely!

Back, if I had put the tab on correctly, it would have been right side up when closed...

This one stands up on its' own!
This one did get a little thick doing the final stitching, so I wouldn't try vinyl or even thicker fabric without a super strong machine! I had to hammer my seams to get through the part with the elastic, but eventually it worked.

Matches my mermaid cup!

Be sure to check out the new Quinn Wallet Pattern!
