WIP Wednesday - New Year, Same List!

The end of the year is always a void time, where I forget what day it is, where I need to be, or when I showered last (If you live on the couch and read books, do you NEED to shower??). Mostly kidding on the showering. I was able to take off almost 3 weeks from the day job and it was amazing! My goals were to organize my sewing studio and my walk in closet that also holds extra craft supplies, plus do some fun sewing, and catch up on orders. I did some organizing, some fun sewing, and some orders...but I think I need to keep the organizing goal for the whole month at least. Maybe just do one area of the room per month, it's a LOT of stuff.

One of the highlights of my vacay was finally getting my new embroidery machine! It's very similar to the one I already had, just made in this decade and only embroidery. I went from a Brother Quattro to a Babylock Pathfinder. Still have my 8x12" max hoop size and a nice sized screen (not as big as the old one, but actually bright). There were some amazing end of year sales and promotions, so I went for it. Now to restock on all the things so I can get it paid off! I should do a blanket sale, or maybe a special on stuffed animals or little things. I could try to destash my extra fabric, there's probably enough there to pay for a multi needle machine...

I tried to update the lists a little with my new goals for 2026, but I'm sure there will be more tweaking and updates as I think about my plans for this year. I might even try to do a few more shows this year, if I can find some good ones close by. I avoid outdoor shows, I don't have the setup for that yet, and I really don't know if I would want to invest in that. Indoor shows aren't as plentiful in the summer, plus most of my stuff does the best when people are in a gift buying mood!
