Chewie Vale Crossbody Bag - ChrisW Pattern Testing

The newest pattern from ChrisW Designs is the ADORABLE Vale Crossbody Bag! It comes in 3 sizes, and I chose the middle size - Petite. It's so cute and barely uses any supplies! I made mine with vinyl exterior, and since it's May, it had to be Star Wars inspired!

I think this is one of the cutest purses I've made so far!

This adorable Chewie vinyl came from Ohana Fabrics, and the debossed symbols is one of my new favorites from Thumbs and Thimbles. I didn't really have a good strap to match, but then I realized I had something better, Bandolier printed webbing!!

The lining is a licensed fabric with all the Porgs, one that makes me laugh. I still have more of this, but I really should have bought a bolt.

The Vale features an exterior slip pocket that has a snap to keep it closed. I installed my snap between the layers of the pocket, since I really wanted that design to shine.

 

That's a pocket, not just a design feature!

It's just a plastic snap, but if it can hold diapers on babies, it should be good for a purse, right?

The back has a zipper pocket, which was perfect for a fun zipper pull

Inside, there is another zip pocket and a vinyl overlay for it. You could also replace it with one of the pocket/card versions that are in another pattern pack to get even more organization!

I kind of fell in love with my Chewie Vale, and there is a minor scuff where my machine tried to chew it a bit, so obviously this one needs to be mine, right? I do have the materials to make more, and I have so many other vinyls that would also be perfect for this bag...so if anyone needs a bag like this, I can definitely add it to my order list!
