WIP Wednesday - Serendipity Hip Sew Along Week 1

I'm going to try to keep on track with this sew along...I may even try to cut 2 out at once, to see if I can stream line anything.  It may end up that I just have twice the number of pieces to lose...BUT I think I have a new method for keeping track of my pieces!

I recently purchased some numbered pins (for quilting according to the package) but I think I can use them to mark my pieces instead of using chalk that is impossible to write with (it's a giant triangle...) or pens that the ink disappears when you iron (but they come back in the freezer).  To keep track, I printed out the cutting list and put numbers next to each piece.  Now I just have to make sure I don't lose that piece of paper...  I could also try sticky notes, but those end up not sticking if I have to move them, and I usually pin them on anyway.  I won't pin the vinyl (avoid extra holes!) but those pieces should be obvious!

At least they are nice looking pins!

Old method - Frixxon pen and tailors chalk, that chalk does NOT rub off!

Before I can start cutting, I NEED to finish the March Bag of the Month because I have those pieces spread around my area too... all that's left is deciding if I'm happy with the lining (it's a little baggy, but might settle in with a good press and a few cans of veggies?) and then put on the strap.  So close!

Flannel Eater blanket - I worked on it, just about 50 more lines to cut! It will be done this month!

February Bag of the Month Window Shopper - Almost done! Yay, finished!!

Embroidered pillow covers - need to cut a back piece after I figure out if I'm doing a zipper or envelope closure...

Serendipity Hip for sew along - picking a second set of fabric and cutting everything out this week!

Crochet:

Princess Lovey - Started on her hair...but then fell asleep on the couch, so she's still bald. DONE!!  And even sewn together!! Just need some pictures!

Started a new lovey - sea turtle!  (because I'm avoiding the mermaid)

Mermaid lovey - Sea blanket is done, head is done (no hair), started on tail. Giant head is kind of freaking me out, so I need to finish her!

Sedimental Quilt- all quilted, just needs squared up and binding - Binding has been cut and made and is being shipped to me!  No excuse now!
Cowls - just need buttons and ends woven in.  Giving up on the one a month plan until it gets closer to craft season.
Bella II in Tula Pink Foxfield - outside is done, inside is cut and waiting for me to finish, already have someone that wants it!
Doctor Who Pick a Pocket - all the pieces are cut, just needs finished!
Goldfish Lovey - fish is made, bowl is mostly made, needs put together
