In case you were wondering, fanny packs are somehow making a comeback...and some are actually pretty stylish. This one is total retro throwback style tho, but with fun fabric!

The 'cool' way to wear these are across the chest/back. Or so I've been told... |
|
Main compartment opens wide! |
I wasn't a fan of this pattern and had to heavily modify it so I won't share which one I used. It also had NO written instructions, only a video and pattern pieces, which I'm not a fan of videos...

laying down, it actually isn't as flat as the pictures make it look, has a nice 3-d shape |
|
Dr. Teeth's band fit perfectly in the front pocket! |
The Bum Bag (which I think makes it sound cooler) has 2 pockets, a main roomy one and a smaller front one. The strap is a fun neon rainbow nylon webbing I found on ebay, and since I hate having tails hanging, I used the adjuster to keep everything tidy. As long as I have a max/min waist measurement, I can make the strap fit those guidelines!

Black plastic connector from maybe Hobby Lobby, but the rainbow slider is from WS&C! |
The fabric is an awesome Love is Love from Backstitch and has only been offered in retail, so it's a rarer one! I do have a bit more left so I can take orders for more items using it!

Peek into the main pocket |
Inside is a licensed Muppets print from my stash. The colors were a great coordinate and we featured Dr. Bunsen and Beeker, the best characters!
|
I still want to be a Muppet when I grow up. |
The rainbow zipper tape is some I've had in my stash for a while now, but the awesome rainbow mouse head and lightning bolt came from
Wizardry, Stitchery, and crafts!

Every pictures I took of the hardware ended up blurry for some reason...but trust me, it's awesome! |
There were so many great characters on this print, it was hard to pick which ones to highlight!
I love your new fanny pack. The placement of your character prints look great.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I try to consider the placement but it's a little harder on new patterns since I don't have a good feel for what pieces will end up being the prominent ones so it's a little bit of planning and a lot of luck!
