Starlet Captivating Clutch - Bright and Bold Style!
The second fabric set I received for the Ambassador projects was from the Baxter Mill Archives. This one was printed onto a polyester base, so it was a little more slippery to work with. I was a little concerned since the colors were so bright and vibrant and decided to pre-wash, but there was NO bleeding or fading, even after drying on high (didn't realize at first that it was polyester! Oops!)

Starlet Captivating Clutch - Bandanna Style!
I got the go-ahead to do my own pictures, so the up side is that there is no more waiting..the down side is you get my pictures and not gorgeous professional ones... ;)
For the final Springs Ambassador projects, they sent me the Have-a-Hank bandanna fabric, and some printed Baxter Mills Archive fabrics. First up is the Bandanna one! The bandanas themselves are large sized for bandannas, but not 'fabric' big so I had to plan out my cuts. I thought it would be fun to try out the Bag of the Month pattern - Captivating Clutch by Mrs. H. Since I did the smaller clutch size I was able to fit every piece on a single bandanna, and sometimes several on the same one. I pre-washed the bandannas and also interfaced every piece since it is a lighter weight fabric.

Springs Creative Ambassador Project - Dreamworks Trolls!
I love the character fabrics, and it seems like Springs Creative Brand is coming out with some really fun ones! When I got the chance to work with their new Troll fabric, I jumped on it! I tried to think of something fun and kid-oriented to make and I needed to get the project done ASAP, so it had to be something quick!

Springs Creative Ambassador! Freesia Fold-Over Bag by Blue Calla, In Mary Fons Small Wonders
The fabric from this line is so amazing that I had a hard time picking which fabrics to use! Almost as hard was deciding what purse I wanted to make! I debated FOREVER on which pattern to use, and finally decided that I needed to get a new one, the Freesia Fold-Over by Blue Calla. It has a unique design and is a fast sew, but I think it still has a TON of style, which is what this fabric needed!

I am a Springs Creative Ambassador!
Somehow I was lucky enough to be selected as a Fabric Ambassador for
Springs Creative Brand and I'm still pinching myself! Being a fabric
ambassador means that I get to play with pretty fabric and create
whatever I want with it! There are a few of us around the country, and
we all have different skills and favorite projects, so it's very
exciting to see what everyone decided to make! For the first project, were giving the
choice of different lines from the Mary Fons Small Wonders line, and I
chose the Japanese line. The colors are so rich and the patterns are
beautiful!
