Anyone ready for a new year? I still have stuff I'm finishing up from several years ago, but new year means new lists...maybe some good crafting resolutions, like using up my stash or de-stashing things I no longer love... Hmm, too bad I love it all!

Thneed in hat form |
|
Thneed as a cowl/headband |
One of my new favorite things to make is the
Thneed (ok, it's actually called something else, but it's super useful and everyone needs one!) I can't stop making them, so it's a good thing I'm getting orders for them and my friends seem to love them!
|
More Thneeds, in adult (top) and kid sizes (bottom) |
I'm finally getting my crafting and sewing mojo back. I enjoyed reading books and not touching anything crafty for a few days but I started going through withdrawal yesterday and had to start new projects...which means that I might actually get the teacher gifts done by the time they go back next week and the pattern testing finished before the pattern is released (Jan 1!! Make sure you have your Bag of the Month subscription!)

I've always wanted a Furls hook, this is the streamlined one and it feels like crocheting with butter, but less sticky. |
One of my Christmas presents that my husband didn't know he bought me was some of the streamlined Furls hooks. I only learned about them recently, they are carved wooden crochet hooks, and are so pretty! They were on sale and the lower end of their products, but someday I'll own the ones that cost $100+...maybe. I have a feeling I'd be afraid to use them!
Current Projects:
- French Terry PJ pants for one kid (and me)
Nightgown for kid - done! Need to figure out how to smooth out the seam, it turned out cute but the gathered seam is annoying...
- raglan style shirt for me with Christmas fabric
- Teacher gifts - 3 hats requested, started the first one and have yarn for all 3
- Pattern test - Started, have just a few more days to finish if I want to share on release day!

yarn - Need to figure out what hook I was using...

more skeins to go.
