The vax card holders on my Etsy shop really took off, so my embroidery machine has been running pretty much non-stop for a few weeks! Unfortunately, that is pretty hard on the machine and it somehow kept going until it was bone dry inside! Fortunately my local shop (Southern Colorado Sewing Center) is amazing and she got me in and out in a day, greasing and oiling everything, fixing the tension issues, and finding all the pieces of needle that mysteriously disappear whenever I break one.... along with a pile of glitter and fuzz that collected inside... and she showed me where to oil it, and how to carefully clear out the needle bits. I was worried I'd need to start shopping for a new machine, but she got me all fixed up!
The last 40 I sent out... |
Now it's back to inhalers and then non-stop vax holders again, with some sewing in-between the steps. I dream of being caught up, only about 50 more to stitch up for that to happen. Only. I've lost track of how many I've made, but the 10 yard roll of black vinyl I bought after I used up the yard and scraps I had on hand? It's gone. And I have a new 10 yard roll that I need to cut into. I really need a bigger cutting table, but wrestling a giant roll of vinyl is either going to build some muscles, or injure me. It's a 50/50 chance for either/both right now. I didn't manage to finish anything other than vax holders and some of the mask orders last week, so nothing to cross off! I'll try to fix that for next week's update, I NEED to cross stuff off!!
