Really, this blanket probably could have shared in the last post, but this panel deserves the spotlight! The current round at Moon Beam Textiles is just full of awesome Trek!
I should have smoothed it out a little better... |

I'm actually excited to be catching up on orders, but at the same time I feel a little panicked when the list isn't insanely long - what will I work on next?? Good thing I finalized a few more orders, I was about to have some 'free time' and I just don't know if I could handle that! ;)
XL Midnight Kiss pouch in vinyl and waterproof canvas, plus a vinyl pocket pal |
Sometimes I make lots of little things from the scraps of the promo fabric, and while they turn out adorable/awesome, they really don't NEED their own blog post. Instead, you get a post with a mish mash of fun stuff! The Trek Floral round from Moon Beam Textiles is so pretty and makes great background blenders or focus fabrics!
I used this same embroidery for the last time this fabric ran, just left off the words and turned it into a purse! |
First time I've stitched this one up tho, and I think I'm keeping it! |
It's going to be a cloudy, gloomy day here, but those are the ones I'm usually the most productive on. Or I curl on the couch with a book or movie and exist. Both sound good right about now, but I should probably try to get things done. I'm chipping away at the order list and trying to keep on top of the Etsy orders, but I almost don't know what to do with all the free time I might have in the future! I mean, I could organize and destash my collection, or make a bunch of test bags, but I should wait and make sure I actually have free time before I start making plans...
This sloth was definitely NOT chill...my embroidery machine tried to eat it 3 times |
I really do love how quick and versatile the Begonia backpack is - I can easily change the front to show off panels of different sizes! This panel is child sized (cotton spandex) and it's so amazing that I needed to show off as much of it as I could! The reboot round of Trek Floral from Moon Beam is so gorgeous, I think I love it even more than the original!
I'm trying to talk myself out of keeping this one, I really don't NEED it... |
It has been a while since I had the time and opportunity to play with strike fabric, but I couldn't resist the awesome Trek fabric that is going to run this month at Moon Beam textile! It's a remix/reboot of a previous fabric and I honestly love it MORE! I want to stockpile the gorgeous blue tonal fabric, it is amazing for accents and background for embroidery, but the plaid and the colorful Comms one are pretty amazing too!
Not the best pictures of the color, but they are awesome in person! |
Another version of the Siren tote! They were definitely popular last year!
This bag is also great for showing off fun fabric! |
It is the same list, but at least it's getting smaller! I need to go through my stash soon and decide what I'll be trying to make this year for 'fun' and what fabrics I'm ready to re-home. I am definitely feeling a little less pressure now that the list is getting caught up and have been squeezing in a few quick and fun projects, like the Midnight Kiss pouch from Sincerely, Jen, and a sherpa headband. I swore (to myself) that I wasn't going to try the headband, but then I saw it in coffee cup cozy sized and kind of fell in love, so I broke down and bought sherpa. And then it sat in the bag for the month of December while I was trying to frantically finish stuff. I decided to try the headband anyway, and it's pretty cute! I adjusted the headband to be a 24" strip and it's much less 'head squishing' but still pretty snug and warm.
Original smaller version, at least it's cute! |
I love all the awesome panels that come out with the custom fabrics, but sometimes they are just a little TOO big to really showcase on a purse. However, they are PERFECT for a giant tote bag like the Siren!
Totally. |
