Sometimes you just have to stop procrastinating and finally do the simple task you've been putting off...
Late night couch picture, too tired to pull out the light box!
Like converting this
Captivating clutch to have a shoulder strap/cross body strap. Super simple fix, but it took me almost 4 months to finally do it. I have a few other UFO projects like this that only need one little thing done to finish them up, but have I done that small task? Nope. Much more fun to start new projects!
I love my rivet dies for my table press! Now I have a hole punch that went through 8 layers of fabric and 8 layers of interfacing like nothing! |
A few other projects have snuck into my sewing time, like more keychains, plushies for my kids from spoonflower printed minky, and even installing a screen door (I just had to buy it and hold it still a few times, the hubby did most of the work!). Hopefully now the screen door will help keep the dog inside so I spend less time chasing him around the neighborhood...
In progress shot...It's all finished now! |
Kids helped by cutting the patterns, turning things right side out, and stuffing! Soon I'll work on them sewing! |
The plushies are from the
Choly Knight pattern, which is free on her website! She also sells the
pre-printed minky versions on Spoonflower, so you don't have to do all the details. I really like her color choices, and so do the kids, so we have a few extra sets to sew up! Some might make their way into the etsy shop since we don't NEED 8 bats and 4 mer-kitties, or do we??
