WIP Thursday - Panic Rising

I usually only do one event in the summer, a mini convention our local library puts on for one day.  It's a great community event and lots of fun!  This year they moved the date up almost an entire month and it totally threw me off!

Keychains, bookmarks and finger puppets!

If I were a planner and a doer, I'd not only have an idea of what I wanted to have finished for the event, I'd actually be almost ready!  Unfortunately I'm mainly a planner and procraftinator, so I have an idea of what needs finished, and now about a week to do it all.  I'd love to stitch out about 10 more finger puppet styles, 20 new keychains, bust out a ton of fairy lanterns, put together bows, stitch out more character hooded towels, whip up some fun purses, and have a bunch of the teeny backpacks to sell...but at this point I'll take whatever I can finish!

At least the orders are coming together nicely, it's just that I need about 4 extra sets of hands to finish what I have already stitched out.  

And because I'm feeling the crunch, that's a perfect time to play with my cutting machine, right? Procraftination!

I am looking forward to having the current orders finished and take a mini break before I jump back into orders, but if I don't hurry it up, I'll be sewing straight through my vacation!  I really want to try some new styles of purses and wallets, but I just haven't had free time to play around.

Current Small Item Orders:

These are items that don't take long to finish, but since they are also handmade, I squeeze them in between the more complex items to give my brain a little break. ;)

• triangle zip keychains 1/2 (plus several more cut, want to finish by next weekend for the event!)
• More mini backpacks (6/12)  -  more are being ordered all the time. I'm just going to create a random number so I can cross them off and feel like I'm finishing things...
•  Fairy Lanterns - 1 ordered, want to make at least 5 more for inventory

Current Embroidery Projects:

• Inhaler cases - 2/4
• Badge Holder
• Keychain for winner in the FB group
• Starting keychain stash rebuilding for May 4th mini show - Cut out existing ones, snap them all, stitch out new ones (Umbrella Academy, How to train your dragon, Star Wars, Supernatural...whatever else catches my attention!) 
• Finger puppets for May 4th event - pokemon are first up! 2/4 stitched

Current Crochet Projects:

• baby blanket with Boho style Racoon- 90% done with applique pieces, carpool project, but getting too warm out to work on blankets!
• Unicorn Weebee - already to the head!
• Dragon scarf - worked on it a bit, need to finish it up!
• Cotton coffee cup cozies - add buttons and felties, keep making more...
• WeeBee baby doll  - Just needs some face details, and maybe a swimsuit to wear when she's not in her tail...bikini sort of works...made up my own pattern and it's interesting...
• Chunky Unicorn Blanket - almost finished up to the hood, then just ears, horn, and fringe! - This got stashed somewhere, so I need to remember where the 'safe place' is.
• C2C (corner to corner) baby doll blanket crochet with some random scarfie yarn - Need to figure out what hook I was using...
• Mermaid tail towel, need to dig this back out.
• More crochet cowls to stock up for the fall shows! 
•  C2C blanket for my son, on the third skein!

• Crayon Rolls - time to cut more and find the pre-cut ones!
