Factotum Sew Along - Straps and tabs

So I'm still behind...by a lot...but if you are trying to do a million things at the same time like I always am, it's no surprise!

I had to take a break and clean off my ironing board just so I could get to this stage!

For this step, you should be sewing your straps and getting them out of the way.  My secret to (mostly) straight strap lines is using the various feet I have with guides on them.  One is a perfect 1/8" edge and the other is 1/4" edge.  They definitely help when I look away from the sewing machine (I blame Netflix) for a second and keep sewing.  I have my straps currently ironed and ready to sew, but somehow I haven't had a chance to wind my bobbin and actually sew!

July 2 - Get all your supplies and fabrics, read through the pattern, print the labels and pieces
July 3 - Start cutting everything!
July 9 - finish cutting and fusing all the pieces
August 9 - Make the straps
August 10-12 - Front Pocket and Flap
August 13-16 - Complete the Exterior
August 17 - Facing and Top Zipper Closure
August 18 - Laptop Sleeve
August 19-22 - Interior Pockets - All of them!
August 22- 27 - Assemble the interior and put the bag together
August 28 - Finish those straps and zippers
August 31 - Final day of the Sew Along!  You should be done!
