I have a ton of orders piling up, so I decided to try the mass production method of doing one step for everything all at once. It kinda worked, I guess? I am over halfway done with a bunch, instead of having only a few completely done...the outsides are fussy cut so that wasn't any faster, but the interfacing and linings were stacked and cut with as many as my rotary blade would go through at once (8 layers seemed to be the max)

Teeny backpacks in progress! |
only one is finished, the other one still needs the lining, but they are super cute! |
There are several orders that are either for only the teeny backpacks or have them included with a larger purse order, so I decided to get those out of the way. I also needed to catch up on inhaler case orders, so I threw them on the embroidery machine while I was cutting away on the backpacks. Two days later and I had about 10 different projects in progress and nothing finished...The good news is that I should be able to finish up most of them in the next few nights and knock my list back down to a manageable size!
While I was cutting, I let the embroidery machine go to town since bookmarks take minimal supervision and only a few thread changes! |
It doesn't really show up, but the vinyl on these is a shimmery wet sand looking glitter. Subtle but amazing! |

Etsy order! |
This weekend my goal is to take a little time to organize and photograph at least a few tubs of fabric, finish up the little orders, and get at least the Ouija purse finished, hopefully also the Brandt's boulevard since I decided to lead a sew along to drum up some interest in the pattern. It's really an awesome pattern, and MUCH easier than it looks, so I don't really mind!
I'm still getting at least 5 hours of sleep, maybe I need to add in some Easter Bunnies to my available to order list! |
