I finally was able to finish some 'big' projects last weekend, so I felt pretty productive! Now to bust out a few more and then I might even be able to take some time to play with my fabrics and new patterns.
|
Not technically a 'big' project, but glad to have them done! |
|
Do you think I used enough pins? I only stabbed myself like 3 times sewing it... |
The kids are on spring break, which means I'm not waking up at the butt-crack of dawn every morning so I can get to work super early and then run around like a crazed taxi driver after work...and also less stress for the kids so we are having fewer meltdowns and stress related incidents. Of course that means something else has to go sideways, so I managed to tweak my back on Sunday night and have been moving a little slower than usual. Getting in to the chiro first thing Monday morning really helped, and I'm even mostly recovered! Now I need to add evening walks into my daily routine to help strengthen my back and keep that from happening again...

This weekend is lantern time! |
I also need to work on my time management skills, or maybe just my perception of time itself. I always underestimate how long projects will take me, which is why I get behind! This week I started cutting out the Sydney and it has already taken me 2 evenings to get most of it cut out. I even had most of the interfacing precut! I've made it so many times that it doesn't seem that hard, but then I realize there are over 70 pieces to cut out for it before I can even start putting it together! No wonder it takes me a few hours to cut out...
