Galifrey Annette (Swoon) and NCW Set (Moon Beam Textiles)

The Annette from Swoon (aff link) is so perfect for showing off my pretty fabrics, and is super stylish!  This fabric is probably one of my most favorite Doctor Who ones, beautiful colors and a fun design.

I am starting to love matching sets, they look so nice!

Fantastic Princess Scorpio Tote (XOXO by Lauren)

As busy as I have been lately, I couldn't resist sneaking in a little selfish sewing when I saw this fun new pattern from XOXO by Lauren!  It's a fast bag and perfect for showcasing two (or three) of my favorite prints!

Bigger on the Inside Chimera Craft Apron (XOXO by Lauren) Pattern Testing

Lately I haven't had many opportunities to test new patterns, so when this one came along, I jumped on it!  Add in the fact it is a great craft show apron (and I don't have one!), and of course I wanted to make it!  This is the Chimera Craft Apron and it was released a few months ago (I'm slowly catching up on my sharing)!
This thing is much too big for my tiny lightbox!

Wibbly Wobbly Charlotte City Tote (Swoon) - MoonBeam Textiles

The second fabric I receive from Moon Beam Textiles for the Reboot round is this gorgeous Wibbly Wobbly fabric.  The colors are dark, but still vibrant!
I love trying different handle options for this purse!

WIP Wednesday - Back on Schedule

Well, back on schedule for the blog posts, but not for the sewing.  Somehow the weekend FLEW by and I'm really not sure where the first half of this week went either...
New Strike offs for Moon Beam Textiles!  Make sure you get in your LOTR preorder before it closes Monday!

WIP Wednesday - Time to get Spooky!

Soooooo... it's October in case you didn't notice.  Which means crunch time for Halloween costumes.  Guess I should get on that...soon.  To set the mood, here's a peek at the latest wallet under my needle, a Nightmare Before Christmas Wisteria Wallet.
Someday I'll be perfect at fussy cutting to show everything...someday!

Time for More Zippered Pouches!

Sometimes I get a request for a 'simple zip pouch' that will showcase a fabric, and when that happens I refer back to my own quick tutorial.  I really need to update it with more pictures, but it is a pretty fast sew!

WIP Wednesday - More Sewing Along!

The Fiona's Freeway Sew Along is over halfway done, so I hope everyone has at least started!  I am almost caught up on everything that HAD to go out this week (almost being the key word...) so I'm planning to get mine busted out on Friday in between all the other million things I have planned for my day off.  Anyone have some spare time I can buy?  If you are on track, it's time to start the lining!  This weekend will be time to finish it all up, so be sure to watch for the videos in the ChrisW Designs FaceBook group!

Pattern Testing - Bodacious Bowler by ChrisW Designs - Doctor Who Sunflowers

The newest pattern from ChrisW Designs is the Bodacious Bowler and it IS totally bodacious!! The classic shape is perfect for showing off fun fabrics, and as a bonus, there is also an embroidery pattern available to fit on the smaller sizes!
Van Gogh inspired sunflowers and a Tardis make for awesome fabric!

WIP/UFO Wednesday - Kick It Into Overdrive!

I was feeling like I had room to breathe again, so obviously that's a sign I need to take on a million more projects! Someday I'll finish building the shelves for my sewing room and get it totally set up, but for now I'd rather navigate the obstacle course and sew instead!
Fun fabric for the Ellen's Esplanade lining - opening a purse to this would make me happy!

Super Fandom Sydney by Swoon

Did you ever get a request that makes you sit back and question your own sanity for agreeing to it?  This purse had the potential to be either amazing or seizure inducing...good thing it turned out awesome!  This is for my friend that loves so many different sci-fi worlds that she couldn't pick just one for her own purse.  I did limit her to only 10 fabrics, and fortunately for me, they even kind of went together with similar color schemes!
It's not TOO crazy looking...

WIP Wednesday - New Month, Slightly New List

I wonder what it feels like to be totally caught up?  I'll never know since I keep adding on new projects! I did manage to finish one project in the wee hours of last night...the twin SuperWhoLock is finally done!  Yay!  Coming up on the list are 2 more Sydney purses...but I did cut out most of the interfacing for them at least!
Aww, twinsies!

WIP Wednesday - Last One for February!

When I was trying to figure out what today was (Holidays always throw me off...but I was really hoping it was already Friday), I have to say I was quite amazed that this is the last Wednesday in February!  I am NOT ready for March!!  The long weekend was really nice, but it flew by!  No time to stop and rest, need to get everything done!
More pictures of the awesome fabric.

SuperWhoLock Sydney by Swoon

I'm not a person to match my purse to my outfit, but sometimes I just feel like I'm ready for something new.  Usually I wear a purse for several months or even years, and I do have several purses I can switch between, but sometimes I just want something totally new (and it's a great excuse to try out my stash of pattern).  For this one, I decided to go for the Sydney by Swoon, which is a cross body style bag, with lots of fun details!  I love the Swoon purses because they have tons of style, but usually they don't have enough pockets for me!  This one breaks that mold with 3 pockets just on the outside!

WIP Wednesday - New Year, New List!

Ok, not really totally new, but I'm going to take off some things and add in other stuff...and keep my UFO list from my resolutions handy so I can force myself to finish!  Hopefully a smaller list is easier to keep track of and less intimidating. Of course to start it off right, I decided to do an entirely new project instead of anything from my list...

The embroidery patterns are a fun touch...

Trying Something New - Embroidered Pockets

When I was in school, I always had a planner where I meticulously wrote everything down, and then took pleasure in crossing off the assignments as I finished them (and avoided looking at the ones I hadn't finished...).  I still love lists (perhaps you've noticed my WIP posts...never ending lists....:D  ) and usually have at least one going somewhere.  Plus a new one each day.  I do use the calendar on my phone, but there isn't the same feeling of scratching something off a list with electronic devices.
It's not a giant pocket, it's a small planner...

WIP Wednesday - Moving Right Along

I survived the craft show prep of last week...now I have another week until the next one, so time for some procrastination!  Er, I mean...Time for other projects!  I did a little embroidery testing for MichiGeek Designs, lots of fun stuff releasing this week!

Pattern coming soon from MichiGeek Designs! and available soon on Etsy

Kiss Clutch - Doctor Who Style!

I joined a handmade Christmas swap this year, on top of all the other million things I was trying to do, and decided to pick a fast gift to make at the last minute.  Kiss Clutch to the rescue!  I love this pattern so much!

WIP Wednesday - Over Halfway Through November?!?!

I know time flies, but this is ridiculous!  I haven't even had a chance to think about Christmas stuff yet; usually I like to make my cards (and get them out by Jan 1 most years...hey, it still counts, right?) and by now I'll at least have a plan for what I need to procrastinate doing.  I haven't even pulled out the card stuff yet, so either I'm going super simple, buying cards, or not sleeping....Hello, Coffee!
